Condition Guide
We accept items that are ready for their next chapter. Items we can't accept will be responsibly recycled or donated onward.
General Requirements
These apply to all trade-ins and donations:
- Clean, dry, and odor-free items only
- No mold, water damage, heavy stains, or pest damage
- No counterfeits or illegal copies
- No missing parts or major damage
- Pack items securely in boxes (max 35cm per side)
Books
We accept English-language titles of any genre
Condition Grades
May contain very minor cosmetic defects, but is in pristine condition. No yellowing, foxing, water damage, or annotations.
- No yellowing or foxing
- No water damage
- No annotations on cover or pages
Used but clean. Sparse foxing or annotations may be present on cover only — none on inner pages.
- Clean condition overall
- Minor wear on cover acceptable
- No annotations on inner pages
Shows wear with slight foxing. Annotations may be present on pages and covers. No water damage.
- Visible wear acceptable
- Slight foxing allowed
- Annotations on pages okay
Moderate foxing and annotations throughout. Text remains readable. Minor water damage on edges acceptable.
- Moderate foxing throughout
- Heavy annotations allowed
- Minor edge water damage okay
We Accept
- English-language titles of any genre
- Lightly annotated books (may fetch lower value)
- Books with mild shelf wear
- Complete sets and series
We Don't Accept
- Magazines and periodicals
- Encyclopedias
- Pre-tertiary textbooks / assessment books
- Outdated tertiary textbooks (5+ years)
- Ex-library books
- Non-English titles
- Books without ISBN
- Water-damaged or moldy books
- Books with torn/missing pages
- Books with broken spines
Donating instead?
Donations require a minimum of 30 items and are picked up for free. We'll allocate a pickup within 2-4 weeks after you submit photos.
